Founded in late 1994, The South Fork Breast Health Coalition is a nonprofit grassroots organization of concerned citizens, East End Area Office of The American Cancer Society, SUNY Stony Brook, Southampton and other East End Town Officials. The Executive Board and Medical Advisory Board of The Coalition work closely with the Southampton Hospital Breast Center.

The Coalition, along with other breast cancer groups across Long Island, is committed to finding the answer to the high incidence of breast cancer in our area. In addition, our mission is to help educate women about the importance of breast self-exams and annual mammograms as preventative measures. Through various support programs, the Coalition is also dedicated to helping relieve the day to day pressures for breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy and/or radiation therapy by helping them manage family and home commitments during this stressful period.

Our goal is to have 100% of the East End female population, age 16+ perform breast self-examinations and 100% of our female population, age 40+ receive annual mammograms.

Rock the Walk at the LI2DAY Fundraiser
