South Fork Breast Health Coalition Medical Board Members
Dr. Louis Avvento
A graduate of the University of Rome, Dr. Avvento has been on the Coalition’s
Board since its inception. He was named Best Doctor of the Year by the New
York Magazine in 2003 and is certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology, Medical
Oncology and Palliative Medicine. He is currently the Director of East End
Hospice in Westhampton, and has a private practice in Riverhead and Southampton.
Dr. Brian O’Hea
A graduate of Georgetown University, Dr. O'Hea has been named Best Doctor of
the Year by New York Magazine five times. He was also selected for inclusion
in the first and second editions of the Castle Colony Guide and named one of
America’s Top Doctors for Cancer in 2005 and 2006. He became a friend and board
member of the Coalition while working with Susan Barry Roden at Stony Brook
Hospital. Presently he is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Stony Brook
University and Director of the Carol Baldwin Breast Care Center.
Dr. Bradley S. Gluck
A graduate of Columbia University and of the Baylor College of Medicine Dr.
Gluck joined the SFBHC in 2002. He is certified in Radiology with specialty
in Body and Breast Imaging. He is a clinical Assistant Professor of Radiology
at Stony Brook University and lecturer in Radiology at the Mount Sinai School
of Medicine. He practices at North Fork Radiology and Southampton Hospital.
Dr. Renu Aggarwal-Hausen
A graduate of the University of Texas, School of Medicine. Dr. Hausen-Aggarwal
is certified in Radiation Oncology. She practices at North Fork Radiology
as the Director of Radiation Oncology. She served as Assistant Professor at the
University of Tennessee Medical School and St. Jude’s Research Hospital.
Dr. James Brady
A graduate of Columbia Medical School, Dr. Brady did his residence in Paris.
Before coming to Southampton Hospital, he practiced at Columbia Presbyterian
Hospital. He is certified in Surgery with a specialty in Reconstructive Surgery.
Since moving to Southampton he has become a Coalition volunteer.
Karen Saco, RN
A graduate of Southwestern College in New Mexico, Karen Saco recently joined
the Coalition’s Medical Board. She has been an active volunteer with the Coalition
since she relocated to the East End after being diagnosed with breast cancer
in 2005. She is a founding member of Lucia’s Angels and presently works at Southampton
Hospital.
