Let us join together with Suffolk County Executive Steve Levy for the premier of a documentary on cancer titled No Family History on Monday Oct. 19th.
No Family History drives forward the conversations about cancer and risks. The film tells the story of a Suffolk County woman who underwent a double mastectomy. Women of almost any age, from any background can be diagnosed at any stage. The film follows her family’s trials and tribulations that come with a breast cancer diagnosis.
Tickets to the free showing and reception can be obtained by pre-registering with the county’s Department of Environment and Energy at (631) 853-5919, or by sending an e-mail to michele.crosby@suffolkcountyny.gov. The event is from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the H Lee Dennison Building 100 Veterans Memorial Highway, Hauppauge, N.Y.
